Detoxify your Beauty Routine

There are a dozen toxic chemicals in skincare and  beauty products as listed in the “Sustainable Shoppers Guide” (https://davidsuzuki.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/sustainable-shoppers-guide-dirty-dozen-cosmetics-ingredients.pdf)

Unfortunately, what we place on our skin is absorbed into our bloodstream and these chemicals cause cancer and other long term health issues. Upon learning this, I switched from high end toxic beauty products to natural and clean “high performance” ones that do an even better job than those that I used to pay a lot of money for.   These products are natural and cost effective at drug store prices.

It is very important to look at the ingredients of the products you are using and if they have any of the “dirty dozen” toxic ingredients (see the “Sustainable Shoppers Guide” list ) then you should switch to more natural ones.

My personal detoxifying beauty routine consists of  daily cleansing, toning and moisturizing with natural skincare along with a weekly natural charcoal and flower detoxifying mask that removes toxins from the skin, minimizes my pores and makes my skin look like I just got a spa quality facial.  I have also redirected all of my cosmetics and hair products to non toxic ones. My family uses all the converted personal care products to the natural ones and it helps me sleep at night knowing that they are not putting any chemicals onto their skin.

Overall, by detoxifying your beauty routine, you will notice an improvement in your skin and find hat it is healthier, youthful and toxin free.

I hope you find this information useful and start your journey to a natural beauty regimen.
